What this app is

Caliber is made by Caliber Marketing LLC, a door-to-door sales company for home internet. Anyone can use the public parts of the app without an account: a ZIP-code fiber availability checker built from the FCC National Broadband Map, and Sell Fiber, a free sales training game. Anyone can also create an account. Accounts that a Caliber manager approves get the field tools our sales representatives use: a map of assigned doors, order and installation tracking, and training material. The app is not directed at children.

Information we collect

Without an account: the ZIP code you type into the availability checker is looked up against data files served by the app and is not stored or linked to you. The training game is hosted on our website and does not ask for personal information.

With an account: your name, email address, and sign-in credentials; an optional phone number; and, once a manager approves you as a representative, the work you record in the app (door-knock outcomes, sales records, and related notes) and any files or photos you choose to attach. Device location is used only when you allow it, to center the field map on you, sort your doors by distance, and, if you turn it on, share your live position with your manager. Location sharing is off by default and can be stopped at any time.

Error reports: if something in the app fails while you are signed in, the app sends a short technical report (the error message, the page, and your browser or device type) linked to your account so we can fix the problem.

How information is used

Information is used only to operate the app and the sales workflow behind it: reviewing and approving accounts, assigning work areas, tracking sales and installations, calculating compensation, and coordinating the team. We do not sell personal information, show ads, or use data for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Storage and sharing

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the app for us, only for that purpose, and each is required to protect it at least as well as this policy does:

  • Supabase — database and account sign-in.
  • Vercel — hosting for the app.
  • Google (Gmail) — sends account emails such as invitations and password resets.
  • OpenFreeMap — supplies the map images (OpenStreetMap data); it receives your device's IP address and the map area you are viewing.
  • Discord — our team's private messaging workspace, used for error alerts (which include the email address of the account that hit the error) and internal daily reports.

Customer records handled by our sales team come from the internet service providers whose products we sell and are used only to complete those sales. We keep account information while your account exists, and error reports only as long as we need them to fix problems.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account inside the app at any time: open the account menu (your initials, top right), choose Your profile, and use Delete account. This immediately removes your sign-in and personal details (name, email, phone, photo). Work records that the company must keep for business purposes are retained without your name. You can also request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us.
